Project 5 Task 1

There are numerous benefits for students to blog in the classroom. Some of these benefits include:

• the ability to reach a wider audience than just the teacher (in fact, the whole world can become a student's audience via his or her blog);
• the ability to quickly and easily revise any piece of writing posted to the blog;
• the organization of the blog, which can provide a record of students' writing over time;
• the ability to write short-term, medium-term, and long-term assignments; and
• the ability to include video, images, and links to external sites to further enliven, contextualize, or substantiate the student's work.
